The Boys recently aired all of season 4’s episodes. Throughout its satire of modern culture, one scene poked fun of a cringe-worthy moment in Avengers: Endgame. Avengers: Endgame is unquestionably one of the best films in the MCU. Fans were dissatisfied with the film’s cringe-worthy segment featuring female superheroes. In season 2, The Boys parodied the incident and created a funny spoof.

Eric Kripke’s The Boys has brilliantly deconstructed the superhero genre and satirized the genre in inventive ways that fans have loved. Along with its social/political commentary, the show mocks the commercialization that comes with superhero films as well as its contrived tropes that have appeared in the MCU and DCEU.
Avengers: Endgame was one of the best chapters in the MCU, bringing the Infinity Saga to a satisfying and emotional close. However, the sequence in which all of the female superheroes team up for the final battle feels overdone and excessively convenient. In season 2, the Amazon program hilariously parodied the scene.
The Boys Season 2 brilliantly made fun of one cringe-worthy scene from Avengers: Endgame.

Avengers: Endgame had some wonderful sequences that harkened back to the history of the MCU as well as giving key characters a bittersweet closure. The film’s final battle brought back almost every hero in the MCU as they band together to fight Thanos and his army. Fans still remember the absolute thrill of seeing the iconic final battle on-screen.
However, the final battle had one scene that felt unearned and forced. In the scene, Spider-Man gives the Infinity Gauntlet to Brie Larson‘s Captain Marvel who is joined by the female superheroes. The way that they all come together came out of left field and felt too corny instead of being memorable.
Season 2 of The Boys delightfully spoofed the scene where Vought marketed their female lineup of the Seven, which included Stormfront. Queen Maeve and Starlight. The ‘Girls Get It Done’ commercial pokes fun at Endgame’s inadvertently amusing scene featuring female superheroes.
On Instagram, users attacked the sequence in Endgame and praised The Boys for satirizing it. Gamer451989 and fayeesscott commented on the worst part in Avengers: Endgame, stating that it broke the flow and made them feel uncomfortable. The event certainly left an unpleasant taste in their mouths.
matthew_d.101 and sevensovercast also commented “its funny because later in the same season The Boys did it again unironically but it was actually good” and “That scene in Endgame would’ve been better if nothing was said”. They pointed out how The Boys pulled off a similar moment in the season finale with great conviction. jordancaruso’s echoed fans’ overall verdict as to how “The Boys is such a freakin awesome show” and knew what they were doing, unlike that Endgame scene.

Eric Kripke recently delivered a shocking cliffhanger in the finale for season 4 of his Amazon show The Boys. The next season is set to be the final chapter of the show and he is planning some big things to happen in it. In an interview with LadBible, the creator revealed that he has always planned the show to be five seasons.
Kripke further stated that the end of season 4 is comparable to the second act of a film where the protagonist are at their lowest point and are desperate to solve the dilemma they are facing. Season 5 will be the epic ‘third act’ where they come together and try their best to save the world from Homelander’s reign. The showrunner said,
“I think the finale of season four really shows you that we’ve been planning five years all along. I always look at it as of the five seasons, we’re kind of at that point, that’s sort of the end of the second act of a movie where everyone’s really at their low point, and they’ve all faced their own personal demons. They need to really come together in the fifth season and save the world.”
With Soldier Boy also likely to play a key role in the final season, it will be intriguing to watch how his relationship with Homelander influences his current climb to power. The Boys have been separated, and reuniting them will be difficult given what transpired in the season 4 finale. Fans hope Kripke delivers an exciting season 5 of the program. All four seasons of The Boys are available on Prime Video.
