While attempting to secure a first down, he dove forward and collided with Bills safety Damar Hamlin, hitting the turf hard. Following the assessment, it was confirmed that Tagovailoa had suffered a concussion, marking his third concussion in as many NFL seasons. With the possibility that he could miss significant playing time, former Dolphins starter Ryan Tannehill has emerged as a top candidate to fill the void.
Tannehill remains a free agent after concluding his four-year, $118 million contract with the Tennessee Titans. Should the Dolphins decide to explore the quarterback market, many believe Tannehill would be their first call.
