Angel Reese is still supporting her Chicago Sky teammates despite her injury. Reese showed up in Atlanta for Tuesday’s game against the Dream while rocking a gray tennis skirt with braided hair and a $2692 Chanel tote bag, according to 1stdibs.com.
It was another head-turning look for Reese as she continued to make her presence felt for the playoff-seeking Sky, despite being sidelined with a wrist injury.
Here is the “Bayou Barbie” pre-game outfit versus the Dream:
Reese’s long-sleeved top masked the wrist cast she was wearing after undergoing wrist surgery.
Reese, a noted fashion enthusiast, has been invited to various fashion events, including Louis Vuitton’s “Prelude to the Olympics” event, where she connected with tennis legend Serena Williams, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, NBA superstar LeBron James, and other celebrities.
Resse also attended this year’s MET Gala as she rose to star status in her first WNBA season.
Angel Reese undergoes season-ending surgery
Following an impressive debut season where she was named into her first All-Star appearance, Angel Reese’s season ended in September as she underwent wrist surgery.
Reese made the announcement in a lengthy post on social media.
“What a year. I never would have imagined the last bucket of my rookie season would be a 3 but maybe that was God saying give them a taste of what they will be seeing more of in Year 2 lolThrough it all, I have showed that I belong in this league even when no one else believed,” Reese wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
“I’m filled with emotions right now that I have a season-ending injury, but also filled with so much gratitude for what is next.
Although this is God’s timing and not mine, I am finally able to give myself a physical and mental break. ‘God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers,’” she added.
Angel Reese finished the season averaging a double-double of 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds, along with 1.3 steals. Reese also broke the record for most rebounds in a single WNBA season and the record for most rebounds per game.
Reese was considered one of the leaders in the Rookie of the Year race. However, because of her season-ending injury, and Caitlin Clark’s terrific performances in the season, Reese is expected to finish behind the Fever rookie in the voting.
Reese and Clark have been two of the biggest stars during this year’s WNBA season. The two were even the only rookies to be named in this year’s All-Star game.
Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky are tied with the Washington Mystics and the Atlanta Dream for the eighth seed and the final playoff spot in the WNBA standings. If the Sky advance in the playoffs, they will face the number one seed New York Liberty.
