Blige spoke about how her fans’ support inspired her album’s content during an interview with E! Online.
She recalled: ‘Sometimes I’d walk out of my house and I’d be having the worst day of my life and just out of nowhere, from like 8 to 80—sometimes it’ll be an 8-year-old saying, “I love you.”‘
The performer made a point of stressing how integral her fans’ support was to the creation of her album.
