Matthieu Blazy’s debut for Bottega Veneta was watched closely by the industry – and the A-list. And it seems the designer’s thigh-high boots have emerged as an early celebrity favourite from the autumn/winter 2022 collection.

Dua Lipa has already added not one, but two pairs to her wardrobe. The singer was one of the best-dressed guests at Olive Uniacke and Dane Ensley’s London wedding in June, wearing look 63 from the collection: a lilac sequin and lace gown, matching gloves and thigh-grazing silver boots.

Hill, an annual festival organised organised by the singer and her father Dukagjin Lipa in Kosovo, where her family is from. (This year, the festival will also be held in Tirana, Albania.) This time, the pop star used the statement boots to 𝓈ℯ𝓍 up a simple striped shirt dress – also Bottega – adding an oxblood woven bag and sculptural gold earrings. So long, sandals, and move aside, mules. Thigh-high boots are the shoe to be seen in this summer.
