It’s time for the latest updates on the ongoing Jennifer Lopez-Ben Affleck divorce saga.
Quick recap: Back in August, Jen filed for divorce after reuniting with Ben in 2021 and getting married the following year. As you probably know, this was their second go-round together after being in a relationship from 2002 to 2004.

Since then, there’s been plenty of public and not-so-public revelations. J.Lo posted some commemorative thirst traps despite reports that she was feeling “some bitterness” about the split…

…And she was also recently spotted holding hands with Ben’s BFF Matt Damon.

Last month, reports emerged that Ben and Jen were seen “kissing” at a family brunch — but further reports suggested that it was a public show of solidarity and nothing more, as they’re still moving forward with divorce proceedings.

Earlier this week, J.Lo broke her official silence on the breakup in a chat with Nikki Glaser for Interview, in which she said that she learned “You have to be complete, if you want something that’s more complete. You have to be good on your own.”
“There’s times when I thought I figured it out,” she also admitted in the interview. “And then life goes, ‘Let’s send you another thing and see if you fall for it. Let’s see if you really have learned that lesson.’ And I hadn’t. I understand that now in a much deeper way, which doesn’t mean that I won’t make mistakes in the future, but again, when your whole house blows up, you’re standing there in the rubble going, ‘How do I not ever let that happen again?’ And then you start examining it little by little saying, ‘Okay, I did this, this was my part in it, this was what I should have seen early on, this is what I didn’t look at.'”

Now, People has new reports on how Jen has been feeling amidst all the drama — and it sounds like she’s moving forward and reflecting.

A source tells the publication that “this has been one of the hardest years for Jennifer,” and that the split itself wasn’t the easiest choice.

“She didn’t want to file for divorce,” they say. “She just felt like she had no choice. Nothing was gonna change with Ben.”

“She was very upset about it. But true to her positive outlook on life, she’s moving forward with optimism. Instead of feeling like she’s fallen flat on her face, she sees it was meant to be. She’s taking time for herself right now.”

“She knows she lives a privileged life in so many ways,” the source adds. “She’s very grateful for all the beautiful memories with Ben, but she’s now focused on creating the best future for herself and her kids.”
