Priyanka Chopra recently opened up about her daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, and what she thinks her mother does for a living. In a conversation with Quint Neon, Priyanka revealed that Malti believes she “does make-believe for a living,” highlighting the innocent perspective of her 2-year-old.
Discussing her experiences with “mom’s guilt,” Priyanka expressed the emotional struggle of leaving Malti behind when traveling for work. “I have so many people around my daughter, but I still feel guilty when I go to set,” she admitted. To ease the separation, she often brings Malti to her shoots, reflecting on her own childhood experiences: “My mom used to take me to hospitals with her, and I would play with the nurses.”
Priyanka also shared how her mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra, plays a vital role as a hands-on grandmother, always stepping in to help when needed. The actress frequently shares candid moments from her life in the U.S. with husband Nick Jonas and their daughter, offering a glimpse into their family dynamics.
“Malti is at home with my mom, which is really nice. My mom was telling me a story about how when she went to work, when I was younger, she’d leave me with my grandma and go to work feeling a sense of calm. And I think she’s returning the favour to me, which is lovely,” said Priyanka, who was in France for the shoot of her upcoming project.
