Jaw-Dropping Fan Fiction Idea from Jack Quaid: Hughie and A-Train Romance Could Break The Boys Records!

For Hughie and A-Train, Jack Quaid has a fan-fiction concept that has the potential to break The Boys’ viewership records. With its explosive plot, the Boys Prime Video series is moving forward remarkably well thus far, shattering numerous records. The character narrative of Jessie T. Usher’s A-Train, also known as Reggie Franklin, has been one of the most intriguing aspects lately. It has evolved significantly since his conflict with Jack Quaid’s Hughie.

But while this duo’s characters are still struggling with their respective arcs, the actors in real life are already onto something else. This comes after Quaid amusingly shared an idea of a fan-fiction of the saga, featuring his and Usher’s characters in the lead. And, ironically enough, his story could even go ahead to shatter the multiple records set by the saga.

Jack Quaid has the Most Epic Fan-Fiction Idea for Hughie and A-Train

While the arcs written for the characters by the higher-ups are one thing, Jack Quaid has developed a fictional story arc himself for Hughie. This he has done for a fan-fiction storyline that has been curated from his imagination, and, surprisingly enough (or perhaps unsurprisingly), this arc features Reggie Franklin in the lead as well.

This happened during a recent Terror Jar interview he took with his co-star Jessie T. Usher, where Quaid was met with the question: You’re writing fan fiction for your character, what’s the premise? To this, the 32-year-old actor originally started with a comparatively simple storyline before diving in to drop the bomb.

Sharing his perspective on how his story would start, Quaid said (via Prime Video Singapore on YouTube):

I want Hughie to win a radio contest where he gets front-row VIP seats to Billy Joel.

To this, Usher couldn’t help but ask if he could be his “plus one.” And, sure enough, Quaid had already planned that for him as he continued to confess:

Yeah, you’re my plus one. That’s canon in the fan fiction that A-Train, that’s how they make amends. They go to a Billy Joel show together.

Okay, they’re definitely on to something with this one, as Usher himself admitted. But what came next was the real bombshell revelation. According to Quaid:

A-Train’s like, “I love Billy Joel.” And Hughie’s like, “I never knew.” And then they make out. It’s 𝓈ℯ𝓍y now. I made it. It happened.

Hilariously enough, the Reggie Franklin portrayer was having a very hard time keeping his laugh in while his co-star was telling this story. But as comedic as it is, this story is also incredibly genius. This is because not only does it make the two onscreen rivals in the Prime Video series make amends, but their respective stories also take a “𝓈ℯ𝓍y” turn.

Having said that, if this story is ever realized in any form—if not by Quaid, then most likely by some brilliant fan on Wattpad—it has the potential to break many of the records set by the Prime Video series for its exceptional plot.

This Fan Fiction Could End Up Shattering The Boys‘ Record

A still from the series.

Despite feeling like a filler in season 4, the adult drama series on Prime Video has so far established an incredible record for viewing thanks to its liberally offering plot. Ironically, the fourth season of the story, which was released recently, set this record despite feeling largely like a filler season.

Based on internal streaming data from Prime Video, the show is not only the fourth most watched TV season on the platform ever, but it also reportedly had a 55 million+ global streaming audience over the course of 39 days, from the show’s June 13 premiere to July 21 (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Although this is an unbelievable turn of events given that the most recent season did not entertain fans to the same extent as the previous ones did, one can only imagine the massive increase in viewership that would occur if Quaid’s clever fan fiction storyline materialized in some way.

It’s unclear whether this will truly appear on screens because Quaid merely made the quip in jest.
