The newest comedy-drama series on Netflix, Kaos, is expected to upend conventions and occupy the void left by the cult favorite insane drama, The Boys. The Boys was an oddball Amazon Prime series with amazing and unusual shock moments that captured our hearts.
This featured an explicit 𝓈ℯ𝓍 scene inspired by a human centipede, an Oscar-winning icon playing an octopus that has 𝓈ℯ𝓍 with people, and an inappropriate use of a 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 leg. The season finale of the show concluded on July 18 with an amazing twist that left viewers devastated and angry that they would have to wait a few more years to find out how the strange series ends.
Fans, however, don’t have to worry because Netflix recently revealed the premiere of an equally “unhinged” series that will precisely cover this void.
The cast of Netflix’s upcoming series Kaos, which stars Jeff Goldblum as Zeus, David Thewlis as Hades, and Janet McTeer as Hera, was revealed.
In a titanic (and insane) conflict involving gods, humans, and everything in between, Jeff Goldblum plays the role of Zeus. KAOS will launch on August 29. read the Netflix post where the trailer was released.
Goldblum stars as Zeus.
The official synopsis of the series reads: ‘Zeus has long enjoyed his status as King of The Gods. That is until he wakes up one morning and discovers a wrinkle on his forehead. Neurosis sets in, setting him off on a dangerous, paranoid path.’
Fans were quick to notice that the series had a similar feel to The Boys and took to social media to share their interest in the series.
‘So basically “The Boys” but about Gods? I’m in!’ said GGG08.
‘The Boys but with Greek Gods instead of superheroes,’ said Repossessedurass.
Memrlord3X-41D commented: ‘This is essentially if American gods and the boys did a fusion dance.’
‘Amazon Prime Has the Boys Netflix has the KAOS,’ commented Arshad_Imran.
McTeer stars as Hera, the Goddess of Women, Marriage, and Childbirth and Zeus’s wife.
The show is scheduled to premiere at the end of the summer.
For fans, the show has arrived just in time, as it was announced last month that The Boys would conclude after season five.
“#TheBoys Season 4 Premiere Week is a good time to announce: Season 5 will be the Final Season!” said show creator Eric Kripke on X.
“Always my plan; I just needed to hold back until I received Vought’s final approval.” Excited to bring the tale to a bloody, dramatic, and luscious conclusion.
Luckily, there is a fantastic new series to replace it!
Nabhaan Rizwan stars as Dionysus in the new series.
Some commenters said that while the trailer looked good, they’d watch anything that had the Jurassic Park star in.
‘Even if this was just a show about watching Jeff Goldblum mowing his yard, I would watch it,’ said Lordmatthews.
‘Honestly, I’ll watch anything with Jeff in it,’ said Greapes.
