“Beauty is on the inside,” says Jensen Ackles’ Supernatural co-star in response to the actor’s ridiculous trolling for being perceived as “ugly.” Along with several other actors, Jensen Ackles receives insults on social media; nonetheless, the actor is defended by his fans and co-star.

In no world would anyone consider Jensen Ackles as an ‘ugly’ actor. One social media post has enraged fans of multiple actors, including the Supernatural actor, after it categorized them as “ugly men who are considered attractive”. However, it is not just fans who came to Ackles’ defense. Misha Collins, who starred alongside him in the CW series, replied to the post with a message to the actor.
Misha Collins portrayed the angel Castiel in the series. He first featured as a guest star in Season 4’s Lazarus Rising before becoming a series regular. Collins even directed one of the episodes in Season 9 of the show, Mother’s Little Helper.

Fans of Supernatural will not take one social media post insulting Jensen Ackles lightly. With his roles as the series’ Dean Winchester and as Batman’s voice in the DC Animated Movie Universe, Ackles has won over fans. He is presently featured in the Amazon Prime Video series The Boys as the antagonist Ben/Soldier Boy.
Ackles’ photo emerged alongside eight other notable Hollywood actors in a piece mocking these great men. The title of the X post from @iamnotpopbase was “Ugly men that are only considered attractive because they are White”. Several fans of the performers criticized the faulty tweet, despite the account saying it was a “correct take”.
The other actors on the list were Barry Keoghan, Jeremy Allen White, Hugh Jackman, Noah Centineo, Jacob Elordi, Ryan Reynolds, Timothée Chalamet, and Drake. While fans gathered to support the actors, one of Ackles’ co-stars stepped in to support him.
Misha Collins, an American actor, has starred in multiple episodes of 24, NCIS, and ER, but his most recognized role is Castiel in Supernatural. Collins is fairly active on the platform and discovered the incorrect post. He responded to the message addressing Ackles, stating that the Days of Our Lives alum should not heed to such posts. He continued, “Beauty is on the inside.”
Collins was meant to appear on Supernatural for only a few episodes, but the positive reception from fans prompted the producers to promote him as a series regular. Collins, along with Ackles and Jared Padalecki, are members of the SPNFamily Crisis Support network (per Forbes). The group, among other things, gives resources to persons who have been victims of cyberbullying.

Any fan who thinks Jensen Ackles is ugly should know that he was the face of a fan-favorite show for more than a decade. Interestingly, one of his co-stars was horrified to punch him as he was the face of the show. During the episode titled Monster Movie, the Winchester brothers had to face off against a shapeshifting villain.
In one scene the villain took the form of Dracula and used his elbow to hit a tied-up Ackles across his face. Todd Stashwick, who played the character, later revealed to EW about his tense time during and after this shot. Stashwick explained:
“I’m in full crazy mode and I’m supposed to clock Jensen in his beautiful face with my elbow, and for whatever reason in that moment — I perhaps leaned in, he perhaps leaned in — we closed that gap and I clocked him. So what you see on the DVD extras is me being all Dracula and then me being mortified that I just hit their billion dollar 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 in the face.”
It is unlikely that Ackles will respond to the post because he does not want to give a hater much traction. Notably, the account has been blocked by multiple fan pages for the actors mentioned.
