Taylor Swift’s Jaw Drops When Katy Perry Says ‘Kind And C**t’ During Video Vanguard Acceptance Speech! Taylor Swift couldn’t believe what Katy Perry said onstage at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
On Wednesday night, Perry, 39, earned the Video Vanguard Award after performing some of her best hits. During her victory speech, she thanked the many people who have aided and supported her during her career, especially the LGBTQ+ community. She quipped:
“My Katy Cats! You stood by me for a lifetime, and the LGBTQ community who I recognize I would not be here without and who show me that you can be both kind and c**t.”

But the funniest part was that, upon hearing Katy say “c**t” on live TV, guess who had the biggest reaction in the crowd??? None other than Tay — Perry’s former enemy!
The pop star’s jaw literally dropped in disbelief at first! She then turned around to smile at her longtime friend and collaborator Jack Antonoff, who was seated next to her. He pointed at Taylor as she nodded her head! Take a look (below):
