Charles and the rest of Dubois’ team later broke out into Stevie Wonder’s ‘Happy Birthday’ and presented a cake with the face of upcoming opponent AJ to ‘Triple D’.
But Dubois wasn’t in the mood for a singsong, shouting “Stop the music” before punching the tasty-looking cake with his right hand.
The softly-spoken but heavy-handed Dubois then roared “This is business.”
Charles couldn’t quite believe it, jokingly saying: “Be nice, it’s your birthday.”
Footage of Dubiois destroying his birthday cake went viral on social media.
One boxing fan commented on the X tape, “I’ll give it to Dubois, he’s turned his persona around and now has quite the personality.”
Another person added, “That’s the closest he’s gonna get, lol.”
Another added, “Dubois has a promising acting career when he retires.”
One remarked: “Might be only 1 he lands b4 being tucked up in his cot by AJ.”
Another chimed in: “The lack of respect he’s showing to AJ is going to come back on him big time.
“You’d think after the [Joe] Joyce / [Oleksandr] Usyk losses he’d be a bit more humble & respect the game more, but trying to force a deep rivalry with AJ isn’t the one.”
On September 21, Dubois will defend his IBF heavyweight title for the first time against Joshua at Wembley Arena.
A massive crowd of 96,000 will gather at the home of English football for a major domestic clash.
And Dubois is determined to herald in a new era at heavyweight by knocking former two-time unified champion AJ out cold.
He added, “AJ has been the king for a long time, and tonight I must become a king slayer.
“That’s my goal, that’s the task at hand.
“I’m discovering more about myself as a fighter and as a person, emerging out of the shadows and into the light, and improving as a fighter and athlete in general.
“I’m up for this and ready to go.”
