Liam Gallagher is set to perform some Oasis songs at Wembley for the Joshua vs Dubois fight
His Excellency Turki Alalshikh has revealed plans to persuade Oasis to reunite on September 21 at Wembley – some ten months before their long-awaited reunion tour gets underway next year
Asked on talkSPORT he said he will try to get the Gallagher brothers to play together this month
Asked if Noel will be alongside Liam, the Saudi boxing chief told talkSPORT: ‘I hope so! It will be something amazing if we get them together.’
Asked whether he had already asked Noel, he then added: ‘We will try. Why not?’
His comments come after Simon Jordan last week told talkSPORT that he asked Noel Gallagher about the reunion.
He said: ‘It’s funny because I asked him – basically he came to the fight between Joshua Buatsi and Dan Azeez [in February] – and I had asked him about September 21.
‘His reason for not going was because he didn’t think it was a good look, if he was in the crowd, Liam was singing and he was wearing earmuffs!
‘But now they’ve all made friends and a big bag of money around the world for them [it could change].
Oasis are already due to perform at Wembley Stadium next year, alongside the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Heaton Park in Manchester, Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh and Croke Park, Dublin.
All of the UK and Ireland dates for Oasis’s reunion tour sold out in less than a day.
Joshua will look to wrestle the IBF heavyweight title away from Dubois later this month
The Gallagher brothers have buried their differences and will perform together next year.
Fans expressed their dissatisfaction with being booted off ticket-selling websites and being given higher rates.
Joshua’s bout with Dubois is the biggest since his rematch loss to Oleksandr Usyk in August 2022.
Dubois won the interim IBF heavyweight championship in June, but it was promoted after Oleksandr Usyk abandoned it by choosing to fight Tyson Fury in a rematch rather than Dubois, who was the mandatory challenger.
