Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra recently revealed that she had a terrible time being bullied in high school.

School time has never been easy for many people, and this is no exception, even for Miss World like Priyanka Chopra. In an interview with the Associated Press, Priyanka shared for the first time about her high school days in the US.

“I was treated differently from my peers just because of my brown skin.

When I first entered school, the racist behavior of my classmates was more obvious,” Nick Jonas’ wife shared, “I was constantly called rude names, forced to ‘go home and ride an elephant like I did at home’. That really affected my mentality at that time, I felt extremely self-conscious.”

After telling her story, the newlywed wife of singer Nick Jonas continued to speak up to demand justice and protect those who have been bullied. “We need to speak up and make this world a better place. I want to create a society where children don’t have to worry about racism, about their differences anymore,” Priyanka affirmed.
