Russell Wilson has spent the summer entangled in a heated starting quarterback competition with Justin Fields. The veteran hasn’t lost sight of what matters most beyond the gridiron.
On Monday, Wilson posted four family photos on social media. The first picture shows him wearing his Pittsburgh Steelers uniform on the practice field. His wife, Ciara, is smiling next to him in black and yellow Steelers apparel.
He also shared photos of their children. Along with one full family photo of all four kids, Wilson is holding his 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 daughter, Amora Princess, in another.
Ciara posted those photos as part of a larger album four days ago. The rapper, who’s currently on tour, is seen enjoying quality time with her kids at the zoo and an arcade. There’s also a snapshot of her and Wilson posing together in an embrace.
“The moments that filled my cup on the in between. #TourLife,” Ciara wrote.
“My Favorite place!” Wilson replied with a heart emoji. “With you All.”
Russ and Ciara recently celebrated their eight-year anniversary in early July. The quarterback posted a video montage of moments from their wedding and other milestones throughout their marriage.
“Since we met, you’ve been my strength in every trial,” Wilson wrote. “My joy in every moment. My peace in every prayer. God blessed me with the most incredible gift in you! I am so grateful for our journey together. Here’s to a lifetime more. I love you Mrs. Wilson to Heaven & back!”
After a two-year Denver Broncos tenure that didn’t go according to plan, Wilson has another chance to spark a late-career renaissance in Pittsburgh. The former Super Bowl champion enters his 13th season vying for the QB1 job after getting benched to close the 2023 campaign.
Mike Tomlin hasn’t named a starter for the Week 1 opener against the Atlanta Falcons, but the Steelers head coach said he plans to decide by the end of the week.
