Blake Lively‘s sister came to the star’s defense as she wished her a happy birthday on social media on Sunday – amid backlash over It Ends With Us.
Actress Robyn Lively, 52, shared a series of photos on Instagram of her little sis, who celebrated turning 37 at bestie Taylor Swift’s mansion in Rhode Island over the weekend.
‘That’s my bday queen right there!’ Robyn wrote, sharing a photo of herself holding a gold cardboard crown, with Blake standing in the background.
‘I love this girl, my sister, my best friend, my little piggy back buddy!’ she said, explaining the series of snaps included in the post.
‘You are one of the best humans I know. HAPPY birthday sissy britches!’ she exclaimed.
On a snap shared in her Instagram Stories, Robyn, who like Blake has been acting since she was a child wrote ‘Happy Birthday Sissy, ILY,’ and tagged the Betty Buzz founder.
Both Blake and Robyn are the children of talent manager Elaine Lively. Their siblings Lori,57, Eric, 43, and Jason Lively, 56, are also actors.
Blake has come under fire recently over allegations of drama behind the scenes between her and director and co-star Justin Baldoni on her latest film, It Ends With Us.
The controversy hasn’t hurt the movie, which deals with a woman escaping an abusive relationship.
The film was in third place over the weekend after three weeks in theaters with a payday of $11.85 million. The drama has made more than $242.6 million globally.
Many fans agreed with Robyn’s assessment of the situation and her description of her 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 sister.
‘Blake is a lovely human being!! I hope she knows that the multitudes of people who love her is so much greater than the negative voices. Happy birthday Blake!!’ wrote one fan.
‘Thank you for this,’ replied Robyn, who also had a role in It Ends With Us.
‘Finally a post about Blake I can get behind!,’ commented another follower.
‘Happy Birthday Mamacita! Enjoy it, bask in it, take a load off & run wild ladies x.’
Robyn again expressed her gratitude writing, ‘the best thank you so much ❤️❤️’
Neither Blake nor Baldoni has commented on the allegations.
