Former Vanderpump Rules star Peter Madrigal feels that Season 11 was Ariana Madix’s last on the show. Indeed, the reality TV star has accomplished so much since her ex-boyfriend’s affair surfaced that it seems like the natural progression of things.
Ariana starred as Roxie Hart in Chicago and hosted Season Six of Love Island USA. Her star is on the rise, and with the struggles of filming with Tom Sandoval on VPR, why would she need the hassle anymore?
Peter Madrigal wouldn’t be returning if he were in “her shoes”
Peter said as much during the August 12 episode of The Sarah Fraser Show podcast. The host asked him if he “think[s] Ariana is coming back” to the show that made her famous.
“No, she has a gig with ‘Love Island.’ Why would she come back? She’s literally built something awesome. If I was in her shoes, I wouldn’t be coming back. For what?” Peter replied.
Meanwhile, the rest of the VPR cast seems less interested in filming as well. And the show is on hiatus. Peter suspected that network executives “are putting a lot of effort in The Valley.” instead.
Scheana Shay and Lala Kent filmed for The Valley, alongside its premiere season stars Brittany Cartwright, Jax Taylor, and Kristen Doute.
“A lot of the cast from Vanderpump Rules are trying to go to The Valley. So, I don’t think there was as much interest for some of the cast members to do ‘Vanderpump Rules,’” the Sur manager added.
Stars are feeling perceptive and abandoning ship. Perhaps the difficulties of filming around Tom and Ariana were one indication.
“They were trying to get certain people to talk. To have scenes, to communicate, to talk to each other, and there was pushback,” Peter revealed.
The SUR manager himself is done with Vanderpump Rules after having been asked to appear without compensation.
