Rusell Wilson’s wife’s reaction as Steelers QB celebrates his 13th year in the NFL

Steelers fans, get ready to wave those Terrible Towels! Russell Wilson’s officially on the black and yellow team, and his wife Ciara is totally stoked about this new chapter.

Wilson shared an IG post rocking the Steelers uniform with a big smile and a heartfelt thank-you. “Grateful for God’s Grace and Mercy. Use me Jesus! Year 13! Go @Steelers.” Ciara, ever the supportive spouse, jumped in the comments with a fired-up, “Let’s go 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Ciara Wilson cheering on Russ ain’t a new thing—it’s been their relationship’s backbone. Back in 2020, when Wilson kicked off his 10th Seahawks season against the Falcons, his wife was his number one fan. Flooding social media with cheers and love, she wrote, “Year 10. Game 1! I’m so proud of you, 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢! You inspire me daily. Cheering you on today and every day! I love you so much! Your biggest cheerleader! Go!”

Fast forward to the present, and Ciara’s enthusiasm hasn’t waned a bit. She’s there to celebrate the victories, like that Seattle season opener win with a picture of their kids rocking Wilson’s jersey, captioned, “Never the easiest photo to take, but I’ll take it! We’re so proud of you! Game 1. Hawks Win! Go Baby! Go!”

Ciara’s rock-solid support’s a game-changer, showing how having someone who’s got your back makes all the difference. As the Steelers’ star QB kicks off Year 13, he’s got his biggest fan cheering him on through every play, be it lost matches or impactful wins.

Russell Wilson’s first impactful win in Pittsburgh and what’s to come

Russell Wilson’s only visit to the Steel City in his 12-year NFL career was unforgettable. That one game made quite an impact.

Wilson’s first taste of Pittsburgh came in 2019, when his former team, the Seahawks, squeaked out a 28-26 win at Heinz Field (now called Acrisure Stadium). The QB had a good time, racking up 29 of 35 passes for 300 yards, three TDs, and no interceptions. Wilson was impressed with his game, recalling “coming down to the fourth quarter… the atmosphere, energy, and the stadium.” Little did he know, he’d be calling that stadium home a few years later.

The Blitzburgh, meanwhile, has been on the hunt for their next franchise QB ever since Ben Roethlisberger retired in 2021. Even with Kenny Pickett drafted in, the team had a hard time finding their groove. With Pickett’s 14-10 record and 13 TDs over two seasons, the Black and Gold offense still couldn’t get it rolling.

With QB Wilson’s veteran savvy and leadership, he’s set to reignite the Steelers’ fire. Will he find that Seattle magic again? Let’s wait and watch as this season unfolds.
