Over the years, the location of Ciara and Russell Wilson’s homes have been dictated by their careers. For two individuals with demanding schedules that keep them constantly on the move, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback the Grammy-winning vocalist and dancer are remarkably disciplined when it comes to maintaining routine and ritual in their home life wherever they may be. “I’m such a homebody,” Ciara told GQ in a 2021 cover story, sharing that she and Wilson had developed a set of “fun rules” for how long they’re willing to be apart. At the time of the interview, the couple, who have been married for eight years, could not remember their limit but made it a point to schedule a date night once a week. “When we first met,” Ciara said, “it was 14 days. Then it was 10 days. And now it’s no more than seven or five. I don’t know, it may be really five days at this point.”
The pair also pray together every morning, regardless of whether they’re waking up in Washington, California, Denver, or Pittsburgh, where Russell recently signed a year-long contract after being let go by the Denver Broncos in March of this year. “Every morning we wake up together, it’s a blessing,” the athlete told GQ.
And while they’ve been known for keeping a relatively low profile (they managed to keep their elaborate wedding in England a secret until after the fact), over the years they’ve offered up small glimpses into their lives together outside of the spotlight, including details about the places that they’ve called home. With Ciara having just begun the Out of This World Tour with Missy Elliott and Busta Rhymes and Russell’s NFL training camp starting in a few weeks, it is unclear where the family currently reside or if they’re shopping for a Pittsburgh abode. Below, we’ve rounded up some of the spots that the power couple and their growing brood (Ciara gave birth to daughter Amora, the couple’s third child together, in December 2023) have resided—with one bonus property that served as the ultimate surprise for Wilson’s beloved mother.
Ciara’s Atlanta bachelorette pad
A few years after Ciara broke through on the music scene with her hit studio album Goodies, she purchased a condo in Atlanta for a reported $680,000. While not much is publicly known about the pad, it is noted that Ciara held onto it for nearly a decade before reportedly selling it for $520,000 in 2015, the same year she and Wilson bought a Washington State home together.

Wilson has long owned a home just outside of San Diego in Rancho Santa Fe, where the athlete often hosts unofficial practices in the offseason. It’s unclear if the family has any ties to the locale beyond their love for the home and area, but the property is notably impressive. According to reports, the property spans eight acres and used to be an equestrian estate, which made it particularly well-suited for Wilson: He converted the original horse arena into a football field where he and his teammates have gathered since the quarterback’s second season in the NFL, in 2013. According to ESPN, the field is surrounded by palm trees and even has Wilson’s “RW3” logo painted in the center. “We have the best jobs in the world: We get to play football for a living,” Wilson told ESPN. “We get to spend time together. It’s a lot of time, a lot of effort, a lot of focus, a lot of long days, long nights, early mornings. All of those things add up, even in the offseason.” It appears that the San Diego area is still a home base for the pair and their family—they called it their “home away from home” in 2021.

The couple next set their sights on Washington State, as Wilson was the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks. They purchased two parcels of land in swanky Bellevue, just outside Seattle, for a total of $13.4 million. The first parcel, which they snapped in 2015 before their wedding in England, cost $6.7 million. The second, which they bought in 2019, cost about the same amount. The 1.89-acre estate sits right by scenic Lake Washington, with 270 feet of lakefront access, including small private beaches, a three-slip dock, and unobstructed views of the Seattle skyline. The primary house itself features six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, a home theater, a recording studio, and a professional gym spread out across 11,104 square feet. The Wilsons put their own stamp on the property, adding a three-story elevator, a gazebo, and a unique treehouse overlooking the lake. The interior of the home is grand in scale, with enormous crystal chandeliers, dramatic spiral staircases with wrought-iron railings, and marble flooring throughout. After Wilson’s trade to Denver, however, the family opted to put the entire estate up for sale at $36 million in 2022. The smaller property was quickly snapped up at $9.75 million but is now back on the market at $10.687 million. The 2007 built main house wasn’t sold until May of this year, going to an unnamed buyer for $21.25 million. Despite receiving less than their asking price, the couple still bagged a total of $31 million after the sale of both properties.
The thank-you gift
Wilson decided to repay his mother, Tammy Wilson, for her endless support with the purchase of a brand new house on Mother’s Day. In a sweet video that the quarterback shared to Instagram, his mother can be seen looking confused as Wilson hands her a set of keys. “Those are the keys to your new home,” he tells her in the clip. After a few beats, Tammy can be heard asking if her son is “for real” before she lets out a gleeful squeal. “After these years you have never asked me for anything … only thing you ever wanted is for me to LOVE,” Wilson captioned the post. “Well thanks for loving us the way you do. This one’s for you. I love you momma.” It’s unclear where exactly Tammy’s new house is located.

In early 2022, Wilson was traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the Denver Broncos, prompting him and the family to go house hunting. He and Ciara landed on a European-inspired property in the Cherry Hills Village area just outside Denver, paying a reported $25 million for the 11,000-square-foot mansion. The couple reportedly set a record for the most expensive residential property purchase in the Denver area, and given all of the celebrity-level amenities, it’s no surprise: the four-bedroom pad includes seven full bathrooms and five half bathrooms, with a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest apartment situated above a detached nine-car garage. There is also a wood-paneled dining room, a screening room, an indoor pool, a basketball court, and an outdoor fireplace. A largely stone exterior and wooden interiors make the sprawling mansion a cozy respite. In March of this year, the Wilsons sold the Seattle manse at a $3.5 million loss after Wilson was let go by the Broncos and signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. It is unknown whether the family has made a permanent move to the Pennsylvania city yet.
Los Angeles and Mexico
The Wilsons also reportedly own homes in Los Angeles and Mexico, which they frequent based on business and familial needs, though not much information about either of these two properties is available to the public.
