Sam spoke about the horrific tragedy for the first time on the Sidetracked podcast, saying, ‘I’ve been really focused on my mental issues for the last seven months because I actually broke my ACL.
The singer, 32, tore their ACL and had to be rescued from a ski hill, leaving them ‘focused on mental problems for the previous seven months’.
‘I fully tore my ACL. I was skiing. On the second day, I made a huge mistake and went down a black hill.
‘I was carried down in a bloodbag. That was the worst. It is a permanent thing.

‘It completely ripped, and I decided to do the non-surgical option, but I couldn’t walk on this leg for a month, which was terrible.
‘It was the first time I had ever been unable to move, and I was hanging onto some weight. I was quite nervous. I used it as an excuse to get my sh*t together.”
In January, Sam was seen strolling around NYC with a cane and wearing an extended knee brace on their right leg.
