The Kardashian-Jenner matriarch, Kris Jenner, cheated on her first hubby, Robert Kardashian Sr. Although she regrets her infidelity, at present, she is also content with what she did.

Season 4 of the American reality TV show, The Kardashians is revealing some of the previously unheard secrets of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. The premiere episode gave a glimpse of the feud between Kourtney and Kim, where the former even blamed the Skims founder for being a ‘narcissist’. The consecutive episodes unravelled other secrets of the ‘Klan’.

The fifth episode of the following show aired on October 26, 2023, and disclosed the real reason behind Kris Jenner, the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch, cheating on her first husband, Robert Kardashian Sr. For the unversed, Kris got married to Robert in July 1978. The former couple welcomed their four children, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Robert Kardashian Jr., and eventually got divorced in 1991.

In the latest episode of The Kardashians, the 39-year-old Khloe Kardashian was seen asking her mom, ‘What was your mindset when you cheated?’ The two were chatting about Khloe’s ex, Tristan Thompson when the revelation occurred. The Good American founder further added:

“When you did that with my dad, and you had four kids, and you had a family? Yes, I know you were really young, which is a big factor.”

The Kardashian momager, Kris Jenner finally opened up about her alleged affair with the soccer player-turned-animator, Todd Waterman in 1989 while she was still married to Robert Kardashian Sr. She said:

“I think being really young and dumb is something that plays into it because you don’t really understand the consequences of your actions.”

Khloe was still struggling to fully understand why her mom had cheated on her dad, Robert Sr. even after Kris had explained that her naivety had been the reason for the infidelity. Khloe asked her mother once again, ‘But what was it that my dad wasn’t doing that made you want to seek love elsewhere?’, to which Kris replied:

“I don’t know, because he was such a great husband and such a great dad. And I think that I fell into a situation where I thought that the grass was greener somewhere else and I made a huge mistake. That’s like my life’s biggest regret.”

Further into the episode, Kris Jenner revealed her equation with her first husband, Robert Sr. after she cheated on him. She mentioned that the two became best friends, and hoped that her daughter, Khloe would take a similar path. For the unversed, Khloe’s ex, Tristan Thompson cheated on her multiple times while they were still in a relationship. He even secretly fathered another child when he and Khloe were about to welcome their son, Tatum. Kris mentioned:

“When I got divorced, Robert and I became best friends. We talked on the phone all day long and helped each other through things all the time, and I did have regrets. I thought, Wow, what I was thinking? So, I want Khloe to be really careful when she makes these decisions and she has to let somebody go.”

Kris Jenner feels everything happens for a reason

During their conversation, Kris told Khloe that although she had regrets about cheating on her first husband, Robert Sr., however, she was also content with how everything eventually turned out. She said:

“I’m not proud of the way I behaved during that time, but you know what? Everything happens for a reason. I really do live my life by thinking God has a plan, and without that whole thing happening, there never would’ve been Kendall and Kylie.”

Kris and Caitlyn Jenner (Previously, Bruce Jenner) got married in April 1991, just one month after Kris’ divorce from Robert Sr. was finalised. The couple stayed together for 22 years and had two daughters, Kendall and Kylie, before announcing their separation in 2013. Their divorce was finalized in December 2014.
