The Chicago Sky fell to 6-11 on the 2024 WNBA season after they lost to the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday.
Rookie Angel Reese produced her 10th consecutive double-double, which sets a WNBA record.
But the Sky’s other rookie struggled once again.
Kamilla Cardoso finished the game with just 3 points and 10 rebounds in 31 minutes played.
The No. 3 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft is getting lost in the shuffle during games, and is being outshined by the Sky’s other rookie.
But that didn’t stop Reese from sending Cardoso a passionate plea during Sunday’s game.

Reese re-entered Sunday’s game in the second quarter during a free throw.
As soon as she got to the block, she turned to Cardoso and appeared to say, “Kamilla! You good! You got it 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢!” before motioning to the other side of the court.
A video of Reese’s plea received over 100,000 views on X Sunday.
Fans loved what they saw from Reese.
“She’s a natural leader. The Sky is in a deep rebuild with a new coach and Angel is consistently uplifting her teammates. I’m impressed,” one fan wrote.
“Leader,” wrote another.
The Sky will need Cardoso if they’re to make a playoff push.
