Angel Reese is off to a stellar start in her WNBA career.
The Chicago Sky rookie has notched eight consecutive double-doubles, making her the youngest player in league history to accomplish that feat. She’s currently tied with Candace Parker for the longest single-season streak ever, with a chance to notch her ninth straight against the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday afternoon.
When the Sky selected Reese with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, some questioned if her game would immediately translate to the next level.
Based on her recent performances, it’s clear she’s more than capable of competing with the world’s best.
Reese has impressed at every level in her basketball career. Amid her recent play, her high school highlights have resurfaced on social media.
“Angel Reese BEEN that. High school Barbie,” one fan account wrote on X.
“Throw back of little Angel Reese playing basketball! Awe!” another added.
Reese attended St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. She committed to Maryland as a five-star recruit and the No. 2 overall player in the 2020 class, playing for the Terrapins in her first two collegiate seasons before transferring to LSU.
