Anthony Joshua and Carl Froch are tangled in a bitter spat, and Froch has responded ruthlessly after the heavyweight star gave his honest opinion on ‘The Cobra’
Carl Froch has fired back at Anthony Joshua after the former heavyweight champion described his countryman as a “p****”. Froch shared screenshots of a recent message exchange between the pair, with “The Cobra” confronting Joshua about comments he made in a recent interview.
Joshua, who faces Daniel Dubois at Wembley on September 21 as he vies to become a three-time heavyweight world champion, was asked to describe Froch in one word, and his response prompted anger from the former super-middleweight star.
Froch took to his YouTube channel Froch On Fighting to address the situation, with a screenshot showing he asked Joshua: “Who the f*** are you calling a p****?!” Joshua bluntly replied: “Because… I think you are.”
Froch asked why and Joshua gave little away, saying “I just do” before Froch fumed: “Do something about it then b****!” Froch, who has been among Joshua’s most prominent critics in recent years, claims Joshua added fuel to the fire by sending a video with a Rolex and stacks of cash, saying “Get on my level”.
Froch, to say the least, did not take kindly to Joshua’s comments and replied ruthlessly in his latest YouTube upload. He said: “He’s come back and said ‘I don’t like you’, and fair enough, you don’t like me, but all I’ve done is been honest and given constructive criticism on what you’ve done since losing to Ruiz and Usyk, and where you’re going now you’re fighting Dubois.
“There’s no need to get personal, no need to start on a man’s hooter – looking pretty good by the way. And then you’ve got your £10 and £20 notes rolled out on your bed saying ‘levels’, it’s all about levels.
“Where’s the humble guy gone? Where’s ‘remain humble, stay humble’. He’s talking about levels and says I’m not on his level. But he’s talking about money. Fair play to him – he’s made a fortune, he’s smashed it.”

Froch continued: “But let’s talk about levels in terms of legacy and fights and career wins. A little fat kid from Mexico made him quit for f*** sake. He spat his gumshield out and was looking around, looking for the corner, looking for the people in the crowd to help him out.
“He got punched from pillar to post. The referee is looking at him – ‘do you want to carry on, do you want to keep fighting?’ And what’s he done? He’s quit on his feet.
“That is embarrassing – something the Cobra would never, ever do. And he can take that to the bank!”
