Ruiz Jr.’s next fight is scheduled to take place at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on the undercard of Terence Crawford vs. Israil Madrimov.
In June 2019, Miller, his opponent, was scheduled to face Anthony Joshua at Madison Square Garden. Miller is 35 years old.

Ruiz Jr. was then out of action until May 2021, when he returned to defeat Chris Arreola.
In his most recent bout, he defeated Ortiz in Los Angeles before having surgery on his right shoulder.
Miller, 35, competed for the first time since his postponed AJ match against Ariel Esteban Bracamonte in June 2022.
He then extended his winning streak to 26-0 with victories over Derek Cardenas and Lucas Browne.
In his previous match, he was defeated by Brit Daniel Dubois in the final eight seconds.
Both Ruiz Jr. and Miller will be hoping to claw their way back into the title contention with a win.
In response to the fight, one fan posted on social media, “That’s just an unreal card.” “A year ago, this would have been impossible.”
On the undercard, Martin Bakole will take on Jared Anderson.
Pitbull Cruz is scheduled to battle Jose Valenzuela, while David Morrell will face Radivoje Kalajdzic.
