The Boys are back in town, as the cast of Amazon Prime’s smash superhero series teases the start of season 4 production.
The cast and crew of the Emmy-nominated television series, based on the comic book of the same name, took to social media to share enigmatic photographs and descriptions.
Jack Quaid, who plays Hughie, shared a selfie on Instagram with The Butcher star Karl Urban, captioned ‘it begins’.
The 30-year-old actor also shared a photo of himself on an airplane, captioned ‘Ah s**t, here we go again. #season4.’
Antony Starr, an actor in Homelander, and Chace Crawford, an actor in The Deep, posed for a photograph while traveling. Starr shared the photos on Instagram with the caption: ‘Travel time…I wonder what that implies…’
Starr has subsequently shared a photo with Crawford and bodybuilder Jeremy Potvin while in Toronto, where the previous three seasons of the show were filmed.
The Boys’ Jack Quaid gave fans a glance into his travel plans.
Jack then shared a snap alongside The Boys co-star Karl Urban seemingly confirming filming for the fourth series of the show has begun.
Toni Starr and Chace Crawford were also pictured travelling together.
Toni has shared pictures alongside Chace while in Toronto where previous series of The Boys have been filmed.
Kimiko actor Karen Fukuhara also shared a travel shot on Instagram at the same time as her co-stars, as well as showrunner Eric Kripke.
Kripke posted a shot of himself in front of an Air Canada board en route to Toronto with hashtags associated with The Boys.
The Boys’ official Twitter page also posted a compilation of the stars of the show on their travels, telling fans ‘just some people flyin, nothin else to see here’.
Speaking to Collider in June, Karl confirmed that filming would begin this month.
Eric Kripke posted a selfie to Twitter with hashtags related to The Boys.
He said: ‘Yeah, we’re starting, I think August 22, we’re going to be starting season four.
‘So I’m getting back, getting my Butcher back on, and I can’t wait.
‘It’s a fun gang to play with, we work hard and play hard, and I can’t wait to see where they take the characters from where we leave them at the end of this season.’
Karen Fukuhara, who plays Kimiko on the program, also posted a travel photo to her Instagram.
Tomer Capon, Jessie Usher, Colby Minifie, Erin Moriarty, and Laz Alonso are among the actors who have confirmed their return for Series 4.
Despite the explosive conclusion to the third season, fans hope Jensen Ackles will return to The Boys as nemesis Soldier Boy, and Dominique McEgliott will don her cloak once more as Queen Maeve.
Valorie Curry and Susan Heyward will appear as the superheroes Firecracker and Sister Sage.
