Antony Starr Drops Bombshell About ‘The Boys’ Season 4: ‘Prepare for the Most Bizarre Scene Ever!’

Antony Starr, star of The Boys, has teased an eyebrow-raising sequence in the highly awaited fourth season of the Amazon Prime drama.

The cult series revolves around The Seven, a group of corrupt superheroes who abuse their powers, and The Boys, a group of vigilantes trying to keep their misbehaviour under control.

While the narrative elements for season 4 are being kept under wraps, the show’s stars have been sharing cryptic posts on their way to set, and viewers have seen an allegedly deceased character reappearing.

However, Antony, 47, who plays The Seven’s egotistical leader The Homeland (John Gillman), has given fans a hint about what to expect – and it appears like we’ll all need to buckle in.

The American Gothic actor revealed he was completely shocked after filming one particular scene, branding it ‘truly the most bizarre thing I’ve ever done.’

He told Variety: ‘I was looking at the person I was opposite and I said: “What are we doing? I can’t believe this! I could have done anything else with my life, but here I am doing this?”

He said he literally ‘couldn’t believe’ the scene.

‘It was truly the most bizarre thing I’ve ever done.’

Antony will be joined by the likes of The Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the next instalment of the brilliantly bonkers show.

It’s not known what team the Supernatural star will side with (if any), with details about his character being kept strictly under wraps, but he has been brought on board as a returning guest star, according to Deadline.

Antony plays The Seven’s evil leader in The Boys.

It has been a long time coming for the 56-year-old, with the actor previously teasing he would join the show back in 2020.

Two years ago showrunner Eric Kripke thanked the actor for supporting The Boys on social media, adding: ‘I’ll make you a deal. Season 3. I’ll write it, and if you’re avail, come shoot it!’

The Boys also stars Jack Quaid, Karl Urban and Erin Moriarty, who has previously spoken about the vile abuse she has received from 𝓈ℯ𝓍ist trolls since starring in the drama.
