Russell Wilson and George Pickens Join Pittsburgh Teammates to Approve Justin Fields’ Steelers Dress-Up Ahead of Mandatory Minicamp

Russell Wilson, one of the greatest dual-threat quarterbacks of all time, never fails to eulogize emerging talents in the NFL. After showing solid belief in Justin Fields, the new Pittsburgh Steelers QB’s flair and dynamics, he has now joined his Pittsburgh teammate in applauding his backup QB’s new look.

As the 25-year-old NFL QB, whom the Chicago Bears traded to the Steelers recently, is already hitting the headlines for his amazing new photoshoot in Steelers uniform, the Super Bowl Champion could not contain his excitement to applaud his supportive QB’s new Steelers look. Fields, a first-round draft pick in 2021, who is entering his fourth NFL campaign in 2024, shared his Steelers look on his official Instagram account. Since then, his comments box has flooded with lovely comments and appreciation notes.

Fields shared a couple of snaps in his new threads to IG on Sunday, with the succinct caption that read, “2,” denoting his new jersey number. After an offseason trade from the Bears, he changed his jersey number from No. 1 to No. 2. Fields looked vibrant and enthusiastic in his Steelers uniform in black and gold. He donned the black and golden jersey with the number 2 on the front and golden-colored shorts that he carried with the tights. Like a fully dressed player, he completed his look with protective black-colored arm sleeves and wrist bands and a safety helmet with the Steelers’ name on it. He perfectly showcased his position while throwing the football, his flawless gesture could be seen as he held the football in a throwing position. He also donned white sports sneakers with extra protective ankle layers.

The photoshoot displaying Fields came just ahead of the minicamp, adding to the excitement among fans. The Steelers’ mandatory minicamp has an itinerary for three days from June 13 to June 15. The offseason voluntary phases include Phase One with meetings and conditioning, Phase Two with on-field workouts at a walk-through pace, and Phase Three with 10 days of organized team practice activities, without any live contact.

Soon after Fields surfaced his enthusiastic images on Instagram, like his followers, many of the Pittsburgh teammates’ star players showcased their love and sent special emojis in the comment box. Steelers QB 1, Russell Wilson, liked his post, while Connor Heyward, Steelers TE, and fullback sent the flexed biceps emoji, showing strength and determination. On the other hand, George Pickens, Steelers WR, mentioned, “⛹🏾‍♂️⛹🏾‍♂️⛹🏾‍♂️,” players bouncing ball emoji, displaying his perseverance. Nick Herbig, Steelers linebacker, also dropped the eye and call me hand emoji (👀🤙) in the comment, displaying his adoration for Fields’ new get-up and his optimism. This is not the first time Steelers players, especially QB Russell Wilson, displayed their faith in Fields. Previously
