Adele’s next famous moment came when she delivered a brilliant four-word retort to a vicious heckler.
Sitting at the piano and chatting to the crowd, the Grammy winner heard someone yell that âPride sucksâ as the month of Pride kicked off on June 1.
Having none of it, Adele hit out: âDid you come to my f***ing show and just say that Pride sucks? Are you f***ing stupid?â
Adele had the perfect response to a homophobic heckler at her show.
The finger guns came out.
âDonât be so f***ing ridiculous,â she blasted.
âIf you have nothing nice to say, shut up, alright?â
Adele proceeded to ask fans if anyone had âdraggedâ a husband along with them to the show, assuring that she âwonât be offendedâ.
âPerhaps itâs you, sir,â she quipped at the heckler.
Adeleâs comments sent the venue wild as fans cheered and yelled âPeriod!â
It didnât take long for the clip to start spreading online, having already been viewed over two million times.
Reacting, fans took to X to express their gratitude for the celebrity ally.
âif I got told off by Adele, Iâd never show my face in public ever againâ, wrote beauxarlen.
The Grammy winner has long been a vocal supporter of LGBTQ+ rights.
âThis is why Adele will forever be mother. I love her with my entire soulâ, declared Tempest_0216.
DramaturgyAmy praised: âThis is what allyship looks likeâ.
âThey got TOLD. Imagine Adele scolding you like this, yikes. Think before you speakâ, wrote Hayles_101.
Adele recently returned to the stage after cancelling five weeks of her residency due to illness.
In February, the Someone Like You singer announced she was having to âtake a beat and pause my Vegas residencyâ after completing around 80 shows.
âI was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break,â she explained, adding she was unable âto get back to full health before shows resumed, and now Iâm sick again and unfortunately, itâs all taking a toll on my voice.â
She said she was pausing the shows âon doctorâs orders,â with the five remaining weekends being postponed âto a later dateâ, and promising fans they would be sent rescheduling details as soon as possible.
Adele shared the news with the caption: âI love you, Iâll miss you like mad and Iâm sorry for the inconvenience.â
The singer has provided countless viral moments since she began her Las Vegas residency.
The cancellation came after Adele got emotional while opening up to an audience at The Colosseum, where she performs two nights a week, about concerns for the strength of her voice.
She shared that sheâs been having issues hitting all the notes in her famous tunes, jokingly comparing her voice to the raspy tone of the cartoon villain Ursula from The Little Mermaid.
The beloved star apologised to her fans for possibly being unable to sing at full capacity that evening, remarking that it would be difficult for her to be quiet long enough for her voice to heal.
She said: âUrsula from the ocean has come from my chest tonight. I canât hit my headnotes properly. I didnât sleep very well and my chest is on fire. I can tell Iâm going to have a cough in like 10 days, but Iâm still here.â
But she continued: âStraight after this show I am going on voice rest. Can you imagine how hard me not talking for three days is? So Iâm going to be in bed coughing my guts up on complete voice rest.â
Adele, who is thought to have recently married partner Rich Paul, needs to get her voice in tip-top condition, though, because sheâs got a load more shows to play this year.
This August, she will play out in the open-air area in Munich, Germany.
Originally, she was doing four shows but later added more, totalling eight.

The gigs will mark Adeleâs first European shows in a hot minute, as she last played two dates in Londonâs Hyde Park, as part of the parkâs British Summer Time gigs, in 2022, which even then marked her first live UK shows since 2017.
