Rebel Wilson’s shooting deciding projecting by đâŻđual direction … saying straight entertainers ought to be permitted to play gay characters as well as the other way around.
The entertainer plunked down for a visit on BBC Radio 4’s “Remote location Plates” – – a syndicated program that incorporates music the big name visitors see as by and by huge – – when Revolutionary’s đâŻđuality came up.
The amusing lady pondered tense jokes she’s told previously, adding she believes she’s pulled off it since she is gay – – something it seems she somewhat concurs with on the grounds that then she makes reference to entertainers playing just characters who line up with their own đâŻđuality … something she impacts.
According to RW, “I believe that is hard. It’s going into this region of like saying, ‘All things considered, just straight entertainers can assume straight parts and gay entertainers can assume gay parts’, which I believe is all out gibberish.”
Rebel adds she thinks people should play whatever role they damn well please … basically, the best person should get the job in her opinion.
Wilson came out back in 2022, revealing her relationship with Ramona Agruma who owns a fashion brand. They got engaged last year … and, Rebel mentions her better half during the radio convo too.
BTW … while some online argue actors’ identities should match the characters they play, a whole lotta actors disagree. Eric McCormack of “Will & Grace” fame recently took the same position.
Seems Rebel’s swatting down all that noise … choosing suitability of the role over similarity to the character.
