On their tenth wedding anniversary, Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West got back together to see their daughter North West play Young Simba at the Hollywood Bowl, DailyMail.com has exclusively revealed.
Ten years to the day after their May 24, 2014, wedding in Florence, Italy, the former couple got back together on Friday to support their 10-year-old daughter who was making her acting debut and sparked rumors of “nepo đđđ𢔠casting.
At The Lion King’s 30th anniversary concert in Los Angeles on Friday, May 24, North performed as Young Simba and was greeted with a standing ovation.
After a contentious legal battle, Kim, 43, and Kanye, 46, finalized their divorce in November 2022. Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021.Together, they welcomed four children into their marriage: sons Saint, age eight, and Psalm, age five, and daughters North, age six, and Chicago, age eight.
Following their divorce, Kim went on to date comedian Pete Davidson and Odell Beckham Jr., while Kanye got married to Bianca Censori in December 2022.
According to DailyMail.com’s exclusive information, Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West reportedly got back together on their tenth wedding anniversary to see their daughter North West perform as Young Simba at The Hollywood Bowl.
Kim and Kanye learned how to set aside their differences for the benefit of their family after a “rocky” few years of co-parenting.
The couple has “really overcome those challenges,” according to a source who spoke with Us Weekly in February, and they are now “able to communicate in a mature manner.”
‘Kim and Kanye may not always see eye to eye, but they have managed an amicable relationship based solely on their kids,’ an insider added.
They continued: ‘Kim knows that North has a happy relationship with Bianca [Censori] and thatâs all that matters to her. What happens in their personal life is none of her business, just like she knows that Kanye doesnât pry into her personal life either.’
Ultimately, the former couple feel they know ‘what is healthiest when it comes to their childrenâs lives’ and ‘share a lot of history together and will always be family.’
This means that they will continue to ‘attend the same events for their kids or get together.’
Indeed, on Friday, the exes reunited for their daughter North as she performed at The Hollywood Bowl.
The performance, however, prompted a wave of ‘nepo đđđ𢒠backlash from critics.
While some were full of praise for North’s part in the live event, others were quick to suggest that she had only landed the role because of her famous parents.

Insiders familiar with the project have since revealed the truth about North’s part in it – and how she really managed to land the prominent role of Young Simba, confessing that her high-profile family did in fact influence her on-stage casting.
According to sources, the young star didn’t have to ‘compete against anyone else’ for the part, which came as a result of her family’s ties with the production company behind the event, which was held at the Hollywood Bowl last Friday.
However, the performance was quickly trolled online by critics who claimed that North did not display the level of ‘talent’ needed for the role and had only landed the part due to ‘nepotism.’
A source has since told DailyMail.com that the Kardashian family’s close connection to the producers of the event played a large part in North’s appearance.
‘The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl and The Kardashians are both produced by the same production company, Fulwell 73 Productions,’ the insider dished.
‘Gabe Turner, who is a partner in Fulwell, is also the creative showrunner for The Lion King.’

Fulwell 73 is the production company behind shows including The Kardashians and The Late Late Show With James Corden.
Turner is a partner alongside James Corden, while the former worked alongside Sally Wood as the creative showrunner for The Lion King concert.
The insider added that North’s ability to make headlines for her performances was a key factor behind the decision to cast her for the role.
‘They were hoping to draw publicity for this, which they did,’ the source continued. ‘But North didn’t have to compete against anyone else and anyone else who would have auditioned would have not gotten it anyways.’
The source stated: ‘This is 100 per cent the result of her family’s relationship with Disney and with Fulwell.’
Another insider dished that the family planned to feature the moment in upcoming episode of their reality show, seemingly making the performance a win for everyone involved.
West, pictured earlier this month, has since remarried. He tied the knot with Bianca Censori in 2022

‘The promise of the moment being shown on the show and to go and be seen everywhere was also a major selling point for having North a part of the festivities,’ the source stated.
‘Like everything the Kardashians do, this was well documented and planned. They have to keep the brand somehow.’
Though trolls have since blasted the Talking hitmaker for her performance, others have taken to social media to push back against the vitriol.
‘North West’s Lion King performance was so cute – she’s a child, like y’all need to calm down,’ one wrote.
‘Y’all don’t like Kim, so y’all take it out on North? Why are people posting videos of her Lion King performance talking about how much better it would be it was actually a talented kid??? That’s a đđđđ˘! Why are y’all being weird?’ another asked.
One noted: ‘The world is really so cruel sometimes. North performed for some Hollywood Lion King play, and they are ripping that little girl apart online. She is a child….’
The second source, meanwhile, revealed that North’s parents were unified in their desire to see their daughter pursue her passions for acting and music.
The insider revealed, “North wants to do music, stage, TV, film, and all different kinds of entertainment.”
“Therefore, despite how absurd it may sound, Kim and Kanye are in agreement that she needs to take advantage of every opportunity that comes her way and will do everything in their power to make that happen.”
