Blake Lively stars in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of It Ends With Us — and fans were given an official trailer, with an unexpected touch of Taylor Swift’s involvement.
Released on Thursday, May 16, the first glimpse of the film is accompanied by Swift’s song “My Tears Ricochet” from the album Folklore, a nod perhaps to her close friendship with Lively.
The film will be released in theaters on Friday, August 9, and follows the compelling narrative of Colleen Hoover’s 2016 bestselling book. Lively plays Lily Bloom, opposite Justin Baldoni, who not only portrays the main character Ryle Kincaid but is also directing the film. Brandon Sklenar steps into the role of Lily’s childhood sweetheart, Atlas Corrigan.

In the trailer, viewers are drawn into a reflection of the novel, witnessing the blossoming love between Lily and Ryle, juxtaposed with the unsettling unveiling of Ryle’s dark side. Flashbacks to Lily and Atlas’ youthful romance are also shown after they reunite years later. Yet, what truly caught Swifties’ attention was the song playing behind the trailer.
Blake Lively and Taylor Swift are seen arriving at Emilio’s Ballato on September 30, 2023 in NEW YORK, New York. Taylor Swift’s song is featured in the trailer for Blake Lively’s new movie. MEGA/GC IMAGESTaylor Nation, the extension of Swift’s official management team, shared the sneak peek across their social media platforms, igniting a wave of enthusiasm among fans for this collaboration.
