50 Cent ‘Only Flying Private’ Over Safety Concerns: ‘I Can’t Go Out Like That’

50 Cent has said that he will only be flying via private jet due to concerns he has over airline safety.

His revelation comes after Boeing was forced to deny a report that a fleet of their aircraft were at potential risk of exploding.

Posting a screenshot of the report on Instagram, 50 commented: “Ok im only flying private fvck this, I can’t go out like that.”

According to the Daily Mail, Boeing’s 777 jets have a potentially fatal electrical fault called electrostatic discharge which can allegedly cause the wings to catch fire.

The Federal Aviation Administration reportedly advised Boeing to spend nearly $700,000 to fix the issue, though the FAA previously denied issuing the order.

Boeing have vehemently denied the contents of the report, saying: “This story is misleading and reckless. It makes incorrect connections and sensationalizes the standard regulatory process that has helped ensure air travel is the safest form of transportation. This is not an immediate safety of flight issue.”

They added: “There are multiple redundancies designed into modern commercial airplanes to ensure protection for electromagnetic effects. The 777 fleet has been operating for nearly 30 years, and has safely flown more than 3.9 billion passengers.”

50 Cent wouldn’t be the first Hip Hop star to take up private air travel. Drake andRick Ross both notably have their own private jets that they have customized to promote their respective brands.

Drizzy has previously been criticized for his private jet usage over environmental concerns.

In a 2022 report, he and a number of other celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Mark Wahlberg were criticized for taking very short flights, though Drake later hit back at the claims, saying: “This is just them moving planes to whatever airport they are being stored at for anyone who was interested in the logistics. Nobody takes that flight.”

The Toronto rap star’s private plane is reportedly worth around $200 million and has been kitted out so it’s more like a five-star hotel than an airplane.

The Boeing 767 plane fits over 30 people and has features such as large leather chairs, velvet sofas and a widescreen television, while the outside is adorned with Drake’s OVO owl logo.
