Katie Maloney further clarified why she confided in Lala Kent about some of her insecurities with Ariana Madix’s rising level of fame.
Maloney shared her side on her Instagram Story Tuesday night following the “Vanderpump Rules” reunion episode in which Kent detailed alleged private conversations she had with Maloney about Madix “abandoning” their sandwich shop to star on Broadway.
Maloney, however, denied being “mad” about the situation and explained that she talked with Kent about her “own insecurities” from being left in charge of their sandwich shop, Something About Her.

“I’m someone who has suffered from imposters [sic] syndrome for as long as I have known myself. Hence why I was apprehensive about opening the sandwich shop on my own,” Maloney began in her message.
Maloney, 37, continued that she was being both “extremely sensitive” to what Madix, 38, was “going through” in the aftermath of Scandoval and also “very supportive” about the opportunities she was given afterward.
“I was also dealing with immense insecurity about what I could take on and simply didn’t want to put that on her. I had an emotional response that didn’t feel appropriate bring to her front door so I went to where I felt safe. Or where I thought was safe,” she added.

The co-stars argued over Maloney’s decision to not discuss a conversation they had about Madix on camera. Bravo
Maloney was seemingly referring to the extra pressure of trying to launch Something About Her by herself while Madix was in New York City for three months.
She assured her followers that she was eventually able to “find the appropriate conversation” with Madix, and they have “had plenty” of discussions since then.
“To know me is to know I value trust, loyalty and integrity,” she concluded.

Kent, 33, and Madix have yet to respond to Maloney’s Instagram Story statement, nor have they addressed the situation further.
Kent got into a heated conversation with Maloney during the reunion after she accused the latter of not being a “truth teller” and making her look like the “enemy” when the “camera goes up.”
“The issues I was having was because of my own insecurities,” Maloney argued.
“You wanted me to throw her under the bus and talk about how mad I was about it, and I was like, ‘I’m not doing that,’” Maloney told Kent. Bravo

The “Give Them Lala” host then got upset because she claimed Maloney “lost [her] mind” when she was encouraged her to talk about her feelings on camera. However, Maloney didn’t want to discuss their confidential conversations.
“You wanted me to throw her under the bus and talk about how mad I was about it, and I was like, ‘I’m not doing that,’” Maloney recalled.
Kent fired back and claimed that Maloney actually didn’t want to talk about Madix because she invested “a lot of money” into their sandwich shop and it could potentially hurt their future business.
“You said to me, ‘If you’re gonna f–k with my business, Lala, I’m gonna f–k with yours,’ and honest to God, I wanted to say to you, Something About Her is really ‘Nothing About Her’ right now. You don’t got a business and mine is my livelihood that I support my child on, so how dare you threaten to f–k with it,” Kent said.
The “Give Them Lala” podcast host also claimed that Maloney “lost [her] mind” on her in one of their chats. Bravo

While Madix wasn’t involved in the first part of the conversation, she will seemingly weigh in on the conflict in the upcoming two reunion episodes.
The reunion ultimately led to Kent no longer speaking to both Madix and Maloney, though it’s unclear why.
The second part of the three-part “Vanderpump Rules” reunion airs next Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
