ngel Reese and Flau’Jae Johnson have been through a lot together during their time with the LSU Tigers.
In 2023, Reese and Johnson brought home the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship trophy after defeating Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes. They also saw defeat to Clark in the most recent NCAA Women’s Tournament, losing in the Elite 8. It was an incredible run for the two during their LSU tenure.
Johnson will remain at LSU for at least one more season while Reese was drafted in the 2024 WNBA draft by the Chicago Sky.
Now, Reese and Johnson will be having somewhat of a battle off the court.

Both superstars were announced as nominees for the Black Entertainment Television, or BET, Sportswoman of the Year Award.
Other nominees include A’Ja Wilson, Simone Biles, and JuJu Watkins.
The news was posted on social media by the official LSU’s Women’s Basketball account.
“Angel Reese and Flau’Jae Johnson are nominees for the BET Sportswoman of the Year!”
The winner of the award will be announced on June 24th at the 24th BET Awards in Los Angeles, California.
