Bronny James’ well-known father attended the NBA draft combine on Wednesday to watch his son play.

LeBron James arrived in a black hoodie and sat in the second row for Bronny’s second and last scrimmage of the combine.

Last season, the NBA’s career scoring leader, his wife, and daughter attended many of Bronny’s games in Southern California. LeBron James has stated frequently that he would like to collaborate with his son. The four-time MVP and four-time NBA champion recently finished his 21st season and may become a free agent if he opts out of his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. However, after a season-ending loss to Denver, he stated that he hasn’t considered playing with his son.

Bronny James is considering turning pro after one college season. On April 5, he declared for the draft and logged into the transfer portal.

Bronny James was one of the nation’s best prospects when he chose to stay close to home and commit to USC last May after graduating from Sierra Canyon School in nearby Chatsworth. However, things took an unexpected turn last summer.

In late July, James experienced cardiac arrest during a basketball workout at USC due to a congenital heart abnormality, requiring surgery. He missed the opening month of the season. He averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists across 25 games for the Trojans.
