The Boys Tease Season 4 with Defiant One-Finger Salute!

The Boys celebrates its return to Prime Video in exactly one month with a fresh look at Karl Urban and Jeffrey Dean Morgan on set.

The wait for season four of The Boys is almost over. Fans will now have just one month until they can watch new episodes, and the occasion comes with another Season 4 teaser.

Season 4 of The Boys is planned to premiere on Prime Video on June 13, 2024. On May 13, the series’ official X page posted a photograph from the set, showcasing series star Karl Urban and franchise newcomer Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Both actors are giving a one-finger salute, which is certainly consistent with The Boys. The shot was accompanied by a caption that read, “This is their 1 month until Season 4 salute.” Check out the post below.

From the start of the series, Urban has been featured as Billy Butcher, the leader of a vigilante group formed to keep corrupt superheroes in check. Morgan will make his debut in the series with his role in Season 4. Promotional materials for Season 4 have showcased Urban and Morgan’s characters drinking together, implying a history with the two, but it hasn’t been officially announced who Morgan will be playing. Fans have speculated that he’s playing Joe Kessler, aka Monkey, a character from the comic books who is a CIA analyst and an ally to Butcher.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Role Isn’t Yet Confirmed

“Listen, all I’ll say is that no matter what, you will run into actors in the trailer and it’s so funny, because our show has largely been split into two,” series star Erin Moriarty previously said, per Comicbook.com, about Morgan’s casting, making sure not to spoil any details about his role. “I will just say, he is the loveliest human being on earth. He’s the loveliest human being on Earth, and that’s it. I’m speaking about it on terms from a human perspective, but from a scene perspective, that’s a good question, I want to keep my job!”

Black Noir actor Nathan Mitchell is also returning for Season 4, though not technically as the same character. The new season will also feature series stars Jack Quaid (Hughie Campbell), Jessie T. Usher (A-Train), Laz Alonso (Mother’s Milk), Chace Crawford (The Deep), Tomer Capone (Frenchie), Karen Fukuhara (Kimiko), Claudia Doumit (Veronica Neuman), and Antony Starr (Homelander). There are rumors that Jensen Ackles will also be returning as Soldier Boy, which would see him reunite with Morgan, his Supernatural co-star.

Season 4 of The Boys will premiere on Prime Video on June 13, 2024.
