Russell Wilson’s time on the field in Seattle ended after the 2021 season, and his time living around the city off the field is reportedly about to end as well.
Libertina Brandt of the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that Wilson and his wife, Ciara, sold their mansion and total estate in Bellevue, Washington, for $31 million. Michelle Duncan of Architectural Digest noted the sale of the 11,000-square-foot mansion and will close this month.
Wilson and Ciara received $21.25 million for the mansion, which comes after they received $9.75 million for the smaller lot next door they previously owned. The smaller lot sold in 2022.
The mansion features six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a theater, gym, yoga and dance studio, two-story treehouse and views of Lake Washington. The property also has two private beaches and a dock with enough room for two jet-skis and a 60-foot yacht.
The couple spent $6.7 million for the house in 2015 and another $6.7 million on the property next door in 2019, so they will take home quite the profit from the sale.
Wilson started his NFL career on the Seattle Seahawks as a third-round pick of the 2012 NFL draft. He played his first 10 seasons for the NFC West team and became one of the top players in franchise history.
He was a Super Bowl champion and eight-time Pro Bowler during his tenure.
However, Seattle traded him to the Denver Broncos ahead of the 2022 campaign. After two years with the Broncos, he is now a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers and shares a quarterback room with Justin Fields.
