The Boys, a popular American superhero television series, premiered on July 26, 2019. This television series became extremely successful within the first few episodes of its premiere, and a fifth season is currently under production. Rolling off of this momentum, a Twitter user recently posted a photo of actress Erin Moriarty, who plays the character ‘Starlight’ in the series, which elicited a slew of fan responses.
Erin Moriarty gets a new look
The Boys actress, Erin Moriarty recently had a picture of herself getting her hair done uploaded by a Twitter user. The actress has seemingly changed her facial features as it becomes clear when compared to a picture of her in season 1 of The Boys.
Even though there is no doubt that the cast of the series is extremely talented, it could be argued that this is just the actress having to adapt with time and upcoming projects, however, the question on everyone’s mind is: did Erin Moriarty get surgery for her face?
Starlight suspected of cosmetic surgery
The reason why this question lingers is due to the stark difference in the actress’s facial features being so prominent in comparison to her earlier debuts on the show. One of the major points that can be picked up is that Erin Moriarty has definitely sharpened up her jawline to the point where it looks like it can cut paper from running it along her jawline. Whereas, earlier, her jawline was a lot more egg-shaped in comparison to the V-shape it has taken on now.
Twitter feeds into the suspicion
Twitter has always been the social media platform that fans flock to whenever they wish to appreciate, insult or announce any news about anybody. Due to this, Twitter user @archivetheboys, uploaded a picture of the actress getting her hair done with the caption reading “ERIN MORIARTY??? mommy?? sorry!!!“, as a clear indication of appreciating her beauty on set and off set of The Boys.
Fans of the actress were quick to be judgemental about her look and started theorizing the reason behind the change. Some were even as harsh as to comment “she looks 20 years older” as a reaction to her updated look.
