50 Cent Defends Shawn Kemp After Reported Drive-By Shooting

50 Cent has come to the defense of former NBA star Shawn Kemp after he was arrested Wednesday (March 8) in connection to a drive-by shooting in Tacoma, Washington.

The G-Unit boss took to Instagram hours after Kemp’s arrest to address everyone who’s had something to say about the story. According to 50, no one should be judging Reign Man until all the facts come to light.

“I don’t know what’s going on here, but don’t judge this brother till all the facts come out. #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi,” 50 captioned his post.

According to ESPN, Shawn Kemp was arrested and booked into Pierce County Jail in Tacoma, Washington after shots rang out in a mall parking lot on Wednesday afternoon. Police say the shootout was sparked by an altercation between people in two separate vehicles near the Tacoma Mall.

One of the vehicles fled the scene, but no injuries were reported. A gun was recovered and an investigation is ongoing. Online records for the Pierce County Police Department show Kemp was booked on a felony drive-by-shooting charge about four hours after the incident.

Shawn Kemp was selected 17th overall by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 1989 NBA draft. He went on to become a star with his array of power dunks and incredible athleticism, and was named an NBA All-Star six times in his 14-year career.

50 Cent isn’t one to shy away from commenting on what’s happening in the news. The Queens native also shared his thoughts on Wednesday about former BET CEO Debra Lee admitting to an affair with BET founder, Bob Johnson.

“You would not believe what goes on behind the scenes,” he wrote in an Instagram post next to a screenshot of an article about the salacious story.

“Wow Deb must got that WAP [laughing emoji],” he added in a second post that revealed Lee started as a legal clerk at BET. “He gave her the whole shit, here you run it bae ! LOL.”

When he isn’t dishing out unfiltered opinions, 50 Cent is hard at work on his television empire and letting fans know he doesn’t mind if they cheat their way into watching his shows

.

Ahead of the season three premiere of Power Book II: Ghost, the G-Unit mogul admitted he’s indifferent if fans stream the show illegally, as he just wants people to tune in to the new season regardless.

“Now you already know I don’t care how you watch this but you gotta see this,” he tweeted earlier this week while sharing the action-packed trailer for the new season, which airs on March 17 on STARZ. “I don’t care if you got a jail broke fire stick. check me out.”
