A part of the lyrics from the song ‘The Alchemy’ was allegedly dedicated to Kadarius Toney’s infamous offside touchdown from 2023 season.
One has to read between the lines while listening to a Taylor Swift song. In the past, the pop icon has created diss tracks to take a jab at her failed relationships. However, for the first time, it seems she may have added a playful touch to her new song ‘The Alchemy’ by composing a few lines directed toward Kadarius Toney.
It has been three days since Swift released her new album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department‘, which includes 16 songs and bonus tracks depending on the cover. By now, everyone knows the song ‘The Alchemy’ is dedicated to her beau, Travis Kelce.

However, after carefully listening and decoding a few lines, it appears that there’s another individual featured in the lyrics. A surprise inclusion in the form of Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney, as per many fans.

Toney faced the wrath of the Chiefs fans when he strayed offside before scoring a touchdown on December 10 against the Buffalo Bills. In the play, Kelce pulled off a lateral to Toney, who then shimmied a few Bills players for a home call. Their celebration was cut short as the referee called back the play for offside.

The amusing part of the story is that former NFL Network analyst Andrew Siciliano actually predicted that Swift might make a diss track about Toney’s offside.
Taylor Swift is going to subtly destroy Kadarius Toney on the next album.
Brett Veach expects improvement from Kadarius Toney in the new season
The 25-year-old became controversial and ridiculed because of his constant below-average outings last season. To many, Toney’s trade from the New York Giants was an indication that the player lacks the precision and cool head one needs to survive in the NFL.
There’s speculation that Chiefs general manager Brett Veach may target a wide receiver in the draft, which is only 4 days away. However, Veach has faith in Toney.
I don’t think we ever stopped believing in him [Kadarius Toney]. I think people around the building like him, and it’s the injury bug, and hopefully he gets some luck on his side and can stay healthy.Veach said on Friday on a Zoom call.
Toney only played 13 games in 2023, starting only two but not featuring in the playoffs. He caught 27 passes from Patrick Mahomes for 169 yards and one touchdown during the regular season.
