The 48 year old Blige and 40 year old Lyonne were in vastly different outfits at the premiere, but they both rocked rather fashionable ensembles.
Blige is actually featured in the documentary as well, which explores the evolution of iconic stylist Misa Hylton.

Blige was wearing a black leather micro-dress at the event, which was co-hosted by fashion label MCM and Tribeca Studios, and she paired it with matching thigh-high leather boots with stiletto heels.
She was also wearing extra-large gold hoop earrings for her red carpet appearance at Spring Studios on Thursday night.
She completed her elegant look with a thick gold necklace that held an elaborate gold pendant that dangled from her neck.

Hylton was recently named the new new Global Creative Partner at MCM, a German-based luxury lifestyle goods and accessories brand founded in 1976.
The film explores some of Hylton’s most recognized fashion looks with her muses including Lil’ Kim, Mary J. Blige and Missy Elliott
The documentary reveals the global cultural impact influenced by the fashion world with iconic fashion trends and styles from female designers and stylists working behind the scenes.

After the premiere on Thursday night, MCM will host an exclusive concert paying homage to the evolution of hip hop and fashion with a special performance by one of hip hop’s founding women.
