Prince William and Kate Middleton are said to have kept Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the dark about her cancer diagnosis because the duo “can’t be trusted”.
New reports suggest the former working royals were not informed in advance of the Princess of Wales’ cancer battle as too much betrayal and subsequent broken trust has transpired over the last few years.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams has shared his thoughts on the issue, strongly believing the Prince and Princess of Wales left Harry and Meghan out in the cold for “good reason”.
“There’s a deep rift between the brothers – that we know,” Fitzwilliams told The Sun.
“We also know that they haven’t apparently spoken in many months, and the reason, of course, is that for some four years they’ve caused endless problems to the royal family and so they can’t be trusted.”

Given that scathing sit-down interview the couple did with Oprah Winfrey, the Netflix documentary slamming the royal family, and Harry’s no-holds-barred memoir Spare, Fitzwilliams said: “William hasn’t trusted Harry and Megan and I mean with good reason”.
“There was no reason to monetise their links with the royal family,” he said.
“The trouble is that’s the only thing that appears to have made a lot of money for them.
“That raises other questions as to what they’ll be doing in the future.”

According toThe Times, Harry and Meghan even found out about Kate’s cancer at the same time as the rest of the world while watching television. It’s believed they were blindsided with the news when Kate revealed her illness in an emotional video shared on Saturday morning.
“Several sources confirm that there were no such conversations and it is thought Harry found out about Kate’s diagnosis from television, at the same time as the public,” a source told the outlet.
After Kate’s sad announcement, Harry and Meghan released a short statement.
“We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”
The couple are said to have reached out to William and Kate in private after issuing the statement, but it is not known whether the exchange was on the phone or via written messages.
“Prince Harry has reached out to his brother, Prince William after learning of Kate’s cancer,” tweeted ITV’s royal editor Chris Ship.
“Harry and Meghan have both been in touch with their brother/sister-in-law but did so privately. It not clear if that was a phone/video call or some messages of support.”
Kate Middleton revealed she is undergoing treatment for cancer in this emotional video.
Kate first shared her cancer diagnosis on Saturday in a video message filmed at Windsor Castle.
“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful, however, tests after the operation found cancer had been present,” she began. “My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”
“This of course came as a huge shock and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” she said.
“As you can imagine this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them and to reassure them that I’m going to be okay.”
