Mary J. Blige isn’t just a musician, she’s a movement. Over 30 years in the game, the Queen Of Hip-Hop Soul is still flourishing and finding new ways to connect with and serve her massive audience. One of those ways is with her annual Strength Of A Woman Festival & Summit that is returning for its third year with a change of scenery and fresh to death lineup.

After making its debut in 2022 and calling Atlanta home for the past two years, Mary is relocating Strength Of A Woman Festival & Summit 2024 to New York City. The event will take place at various locations around NYC during Mother’s Day weekend from Friday, May 10th through Sunday, May 12th and feature performances from a variety of artists.

On the festival’s opening night, attendees will have the option to indulge in music or comedy. The maestro Robert Glasper is on tap to perform two shows at Blue Note New York. Meanwhile, over at Harlem’s world famous Apollo Theater, comedienne Tiffany Haddish will bring the jokes along with Don’t Call Me White Girl and Paris Sashay.

After the day-long SOAW Summit on Saturday, Blige will once again be the headliner at the marquee concert that night, which is scheduled to take place at Barclays Center. She leads a list of performers that is heavy on hip-hop and heavy on soul. Jill Scott and Muni Long’s mics will be on as both singers bring their hits to the stage. On the hip-hop tip, there’ll be a special appearance by 50 Cent and performances from Fat Joe, Jadakiss and Lola Brooke. Tiffany Haddish is on board to host and DJ Funk Flex will move the crowd on the turntables.

The last day of the Strength Of A Woman Festival & Summit 2024 will be on Mother’s Day, and Mary J. Blige is hosting a special Mother’s Day Brunch Experience at Brooklyn Chop House Times Square. After folks eat their fill and get fed, they can get even more food for the soul at the closing night concert featuring gospel greats The Clark Sisters at Brooklyn Paramount.
