Former Insider Hints at Explosive K-Pop Revelations—Are Major Agencies in Trouble?

Recently, the Instagram account @yg_leaker has published a new story, consistently threatening to harm BLACKPINK’s Lisa, rousing concerns from fans. In particular, the account, which previously said they “decided to end Lisa’s life”, added that very soon, “social media will tremble with the news of her death“. Additionally, according to this account, they hold scandals that could end Lisa’s career and can make her disappear from the world “without a trace”.

While the threats itself may seem exaggerated, the fact that @yg_leaker previously leaked pre-debut videos of BLACKPINK and even one of the group’s unreleased MVs, has sparked concerns about fans that they may actually be serious. Some fans have thus urged Lisa’s agency, LLOUD, to promptly take actions.

On the other hand, social media storm is brewing in the K-pop world after an alleged former YG Entertainment employee threatened to release sensitive internal data from several major entertainment companies, including SM, JYP, and HYBE. The controversy erupted on March 30 when pre-debut videos allegedly showing BLACKPINK members using the N-word surfaced online.

These videos were initially shared in a Discord chatroom by a user going by the handle “YG Leaker.” Claiming to be a former YG employee who was recently fired, the individual alleged that the company was riddled with “mobbing, racism, and 𝓈ℯ𝓍ism.” The leaks have sparked heated debates across social media, with many K-pop fans expressing concern over the potential implications for the industry.

In a more alarming turn, “YG Leaker” claimed they were in possession of sensitive data and unreleased media not just from YG, but also from SM Entertainment, HYBE, and JYP Entertainment. As part of the alleged leak, a demo track said to be intended for NCT 127 was also released.

Additionally, a significant data leak involving K-pop group LOONA, managed by Blockberry Creative, has also been discussed across social media platforms. The leak reportedly includes 108 terabytes of unreleased content. What makes this leak even more surprising is that it centers around Blockberry Creative, a relatively small agency and not one of K-pop’s “Big 4” companies (HYBE, SM, JYP, and YG).

The sheer size of the leak has left many stunned, with some fans expressing excitement over the potential access to never-before-seen material, while others warn of the ethical and legal implications. Fans are expressing both excitement for the potential release of new LOONA content and concerns about the impact of such leaks on the K-pop industry. The existence and size of the leak have not been officially confirmed.

The person behind the username further asserted that they are none other than “Gurumi,” the online figure previously known for leaking private photos of BLACKPINK’s Jennie and BTS’s V, fueling widespread rumors of a romantic relationship between the two stars. According to their statement, they were served with a cease and desist following that leak.

While some netizens are sounding the alarm over what this could mean for K-pop idols and industry transparency, others remain skeptical, questioning the authenticity of both the leaks and the individual’s claims. As of now, YG Entertainment has not released an official statement addressing the situation.

With the K-pop community anxiously awaiting potential fallout, this incident may set a new precedent for how online threats and alleged internal leaks are handled by top-tier entertainment agencies.
