In the midst of the furor, screenshots which allegedly contain Kim Sae Ron’s prepared statement regarding her dating rumors with Kim Soo Hyun in 2024 have gone viral on X. Kim Sae Ron’s aunt shared these screenshots with Garo Sero Institute, the outlet which first broke the exposé. The screenshots are from a conversation between Kim Sae Ron’s cousin and Kim Sae ron herself.

The cousin complained that journalists had been calling her about Kim Sae Ron’s news. Kim Sae Ron advised her not to pick up. Kim Sae Ron then shared the official statement that she had prepared herself, but had not publicized.

Cousin: “I saw an article saying that you are preparing a statement. I just saw it as I got off work now.”

Kim Sae Ron: “That’s not true. It’s a false report.”

Kim Sae Ron then shared a statement that she had indeed written privately, but had no intentions of posting.

” Hello, this is Kim Sae Ron. Firstly, I wish to apologize to those everyone and the industry staff who were affected and confused by my careless actions.

Although the media is reporting the rumors which have been spreading in the media as falsehoods, I wish to clearly state that that is untrue.

The photo uploaded on my Instagram Stories was taken in 2016, and we were dating from November 19, 2015, to July 7, 2021.

But Gold Medalist is currently claiming that “they don’t know my intentions behind uploading it,” and this completely does not match up with what they have been doing. I hope that they can come to recognize and apologize their misdoings which caused me harm when I was still with the company.

Her cousin complained how the company even gave her phone number to reporters, resulting in her being harassed on Kim Sae Ron’s behalf.

Cousin: “No, but I’m baffled at how they gave out my number.”
