Blake Lively won’t stand for the paparazzi “stalking” her children.
On Friday, July 16, the Gossip Girl alum took to Instagram to share issues she had with photos posted by The Daily Mail Australia. Though the pics show Lively smiling and waving at the cameras, she made it clear that these photos — which she called “deceitful” — do not tell the entire story.
The actress, who shares three children with her husband Ryan Reynolds, wrote in the comments section of the outlet’s post, “My children were being stalked by a man all day. Jumping out. And then hiding. A stranger on the street got into words with them because it was so upsetting for her to see.”
Lively called the ordeal “frightening,” and implored the outlet to “listen to your followers” who “understand this is dark and upsetting that you pay people to stalk children.”
“Please stop paying grown ass men to hide and hunt children,” she stressed. “There are plenty of pictures you could’ve published without the kids. Please delete. C’mon. Get with the times.”
Lively and Reynolds keep their family life as private as possible. In fact, they did not announce the birth of their third child, a girl named Betty, for two months.
In 2016, Lively opened up to Marie Claire about how her family is the thing she is “most protective of” and that she feels “the most exposed” when they are exploited.
The Age of Adaline star — who, at the time, had just welcomed her first daughter James — explained of the paparazzi, “I’d rather not have to deal with it at all, but we knew the lifestyle we were getting into, and while it’s hard…it’s another thing when it’s our child. [James] didn’t have the opportunity to make a decision about what she wants.”
