Taylor Swift fans branded a ‘disgrace’ over presidential votes: ‘Brain rot’

Taylor Swift fans are sparking backlash for writing in the singer on the 2024 presidential election ballot.

A number of Swifties have taken to social media to post their ballots for the Blank Space hitmaker, writing-in the 34-year-old over official candidates like Donald TrumpKamala Harris, and Jill Stein.

‘First time voter and I couldn’t bring myself to vote for any of the candidates presented on the ballot. Thinking about all Taylor has done for the US economy these last few years I decided to #Vote for Miss Americana herself,’ one gushed.

Another fan wrote, ‘I’m so excited that I’m finally able to vote cause I can’t think of anyone more deserving.

‘We should start a hashtag for this #SwiftiesForPresidentTaylor.’

The posts outraged many of Taylor’s more liberal fans, who felt that the votes would be better used going to Kamala.

‘This is such a brain rot thing to do, Jesus f***ing Christ. Wasting your vote is the dumbest thing you can do next to having blind loyalty to someone who isn’t in politics,’ raged one.

‘I really hope this is a joke and even if it is, it’s not even remotely funny considering over half this fanbase’s rights are on the line,’ snapped a second.

‘Thanks for putting a vote in Trump’s pocket. Cause that’s all this is,’ added a third.

A fourth wrote, ‘This is actually disgusting. The people that died for us to vote, what a disgrace and just selfish.’

DailyMail.com has contacted Taylor’s representatives for comment.

Taylor dramatically endorsed Kamala just moments after the presidential debate in September.

Fans online were furious and are fearing that Swifties wasting their votes on Taylor could lead to a victory for Donald Trump

She poked fun at Republicans in her endorsement by including a photo of her cat – a knock at Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance who mocked ‘childless cat ladies.’

‘I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,’ she wrote.

She signed her post ‘childless cat lady.’

In addition to Taylor, Kamala has picked up a slew of celebrity endorsements from the likes of Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Billie Eilish, and Rosie O’Donnell.

Meanwhile, Trump has picked up endorsements from Amber Rose, Kid Rock, Hulk Hogan, and Rob Schneider.
