According to reports, paramedics verified his death right away. Just hours before he passed away, the musician posted a since-deleted message on Snapchat stating that he was enjoying a “lovely day.”

Several outlets reported that the pair had gone their separate ways in May 2023.
However, Payne and Cassidy proved naysayers wrong when they walked hand-in-hand in London in June 2023.
Both the Daily Mail and the Sun reported on May 10, 2023 that Cassidy and Payne had called it quits.
“There was no big row or anything – it just ran its course and they both mutually decided to go their separate ways,” the Sun’s source alleged.
However, the pair shut down breakup chatter in June 2023 when they attended private nightclub Annabel’s 60th anniversary party together. They left hand-in-hand.
Payne and Cassidy showed their relationship was going strong nearly a year later when they held hands as they stepped out in Paris in March 2024.
August 2024: Cassidy defends her man
In August 2024, Payne came under fire for joking that his influencer girlfriend was “covered up for once” in a TikTok video.

According to Cassidy, the vacation was initially scheduled to last five days.
Although the trip was initially planned to last five days, Cassidy and Payne spent two weeks together in Argentina in early October. Payne only appeared in a few of his girlfriend’s TikToks, which were mostly movies of her outfits and food hauls.
Via TikTok, she also escorted followers on their trip to see Niall Horan play at the Movistar Arena in the Argentine city and on their bowling date. Payne openly expressed his desire to make amends with his former bandmate in a tweet prior to the performance.
While in Argentina, Payne and Cassidy attended a Niall Horan concert.
At the event in Buenos Aires, Payne and Horan got back together.
“Niall and I haven’t spoken in a long time. We have a lot to discuss. Additionally, I want to make amends with the boy on a few matters,” he wrote. There are happy selfies to show that the couple met together, even if it’s unclear if they had a heart-to-heart. Cassidy posted a webcast of her journey back to Florida from Argentina on October 14. Two days later, Payne passed away.
