On Monday, Shawn Mendes gave a moving performance in Nashville, Tennessee. We have the inside scoop on his performance at the crowded yet intimate Ryman Auditorium.
After seeing the performance, singer Nikki Lund told her story about the atmosphere in the room. “Shawn was fantastic and arrived on stage promptly!” She told DailyMail.com, “His guitar s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s are surprisingly very good, and his voice was incredible.””I wasn’t expecting him to blow me away, but I was really impressed.”

There were also some depressing times.
He dedicated a song titled “Golden Heart” to a former buddy who he said passed away from an overdose. Although he did not identify the friend, it was obvious that they were close. It was a really emotional moment when Shawn said he missed dad. Because it was such a depressing time, I thought I saw Shawn cry a little.
The song was so powerful that several people in the audience started crying. I also started crying.
Mendes also talked about a “tough time” he had gone through and invited those who supported him to the stage.

The fans were ecstatic as Shawn performed Golden Heart. ‘He had recorded the song at Dark Horse Studios here in Nashville so it was all very near to him,’ Lund said, referring to the fact that the song was composed in Tennessee.
Nikki, who was dressed in a black leather top, a miniskirt, and boots, continued, “The crowd ROARED when he said this—it was beautiful, everyone was so touched that he made this song in Nashville.”
He sang a Jeff Buckley song, “Hallelujah,” which was exquisite and flawless.
He claimed to have met two male buddies during his hiatus, whom he called his “family now,” and they came out on stage. He claimed that they helped him get through a difficult period.
‘Shawn did not say when this tough time happened but people in the audience were saying it was probably after he split from Camila Cabello. Everyone was wondering if the tough time was because of her and they called out her name.

‘Shawn also said that he recorded the entire album with those friends who helped him.
‘They kept hugging each other on stage. They all seemed very happy and close.’
And the crowd loved Shawn’s performance and on stage comments as he opened up like never before.
‘The crowd was loud and welcoming… very proud to have him in Nashville,’ added Lund.
And there were some sad moments, too. ‘He dedicated a song called Golden Heart to a friend of his from his past who he said died of an overdose. Shawn said he misses him and it was a very emotional moment,’ she reported
Lund added, ‘The song brought a lot of audience members to tears, it was very emotional’
‘He said he loves to be in Nashville and to visit it brings back a lot of good memories, he said,’ reported Nikki, who went to grade school in Beverly Hills with Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton.
‘His fans are all very nice and kind and friendly,’ she added.
‘They kept screaming “I love you” “I love you Shawn” and he would say something sweet back every time he could “I love you too darling” “I wouldn’t be here without all you” “I’m so grateful for you angels.”
‘He played a lot of blues infused riffs. Very musical.’
